Montana Steele is acclaimed for real estate branding and marketing, but few know that its President, Rene DeSantis, also made a mark on branding the City of Toronto. Back in 1974, Rene won a competition to design the Toronto flag. His design features a stylized white ‘T’ made up of the two architecturally distinctive towers of City Hall against a blue background, accented with the red Canadian maple leaf. Today, the flag continues to fly high, and Rene continues his efforts to build a better city and a better Canada by promoting its values of tolerance, diversity and multiculturalism.
