Montana Steele Gets into a Fashion Frame of Mind with Designer Depot

Designer Depot is taking affordable designer looks to fashionable new heights with the help of the Montana Steele Strategic Marketing team.

The department store, which is owned by the INC Group of Companies, recently celebrated the grand opening of six new locations across Canada including Calgary, Halifax, Toronto, Scarborough, Whitby and Mississauga bringing its store count to 19 nationwide.

“Designer Depot came to us on the heels of their 2013 expansion, looking to elevate their branding and the strategic direction on their messaging and marketing campaigns,” says Jennifer Yamamoto, Senior Account Director at Montana Steele. “We have established a true partnership with the Designer Depot team, setting the tone and style of the photo shoots for in-store signage and advertising materials as well as elevating their fashion profile with Canadian shoppers through the new advertising materials.”

The Montana Steele team will spearhead the ongoing strategic planning, marketing initiatives, creative design and digital counsel to support Designer Depot’s new look and feel, and align its “the latest looks for less” messaging with seasonal and international fashion trends. “We’re focusing on more fashion-forward messaging with a weekly flyer program and commercials on channels such as TLN, OLN and City TV across the GTA,” says Jennifer. “Our next opportunity will be working with them on their web launch and promoting new product categories through the holiday season.”

Design Depot prides itself on offering consumers the latest looks for 50% less than other department or specialty stores in Canada by buying direct from the same factories many designers use to manufacture name brand clothing, outerwear and accessories for women, men and kids.
