The awards were handed out at a glittering gala ceremony held on February 8, 2012 in Orlando Florida.</p><p>Six of the seven awards, including the evening’s most coveted Community of the Year award, went to Montana Steele’s groundbreaking work for <a
title="Cinema Tower" href="http://montanasteele.com/our-work/cinema-tower/">Cinema Tower</a>, a signature condominium in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District. Other awards won by Cinema Tower were: Best Community Branding, Best Brochure, Best Direct Mail, Best Overall Ad Campaign and Best Computer Generated Sales Tool. The seventh Montana Steele award (for Best Radio Commercial) went to <a

However, not everyone gets it right. At Montana Steele, we take the design element of social media very seriously as it is a direct representation of the company service or brand. “We have all heard the term ‘you never get a second chance to make a first impression’, says Ryan Gale, Director of Web &amp; Social Media “This is especially true when a potential customer lands on your Facebook Page or follows your Twitter Feed or views your YouTube Channel.”</p><p>The following is a list of key fundamentals in social media design:</p><h2>Determine Objectives</h2><p>Before beginning any type of project it is essential to determine what the client’s objectives are. Who is the audience, how should the brand personality be incorporated into the creative, what are the key goals – these are just a few of the questions that should be asked and answered before the design process even begins.</p><h2>Design Aesthetics</h2><p>This is where our client gets their chance to shine. Whether it’s a new condominium, or a corporate page, we highlight the “hero” element through compelling design. Research has shown that it is unlikely for a potential customer to convert from being a mere visitor to an ardent follower solely on content. In many cases the “Liking” of a company’s Facebook page is based solely on appearance.</p><h2>Branding</h2><p>As important as design aesthetics are, the creative must reflect the brand itself. One can design the most visually compelling page; however, if it does not represent the brand, then there is no brand recognition and the user may become confused and leave the page.</p><h2>Consistency</h2><p>Just as design and branding go hand in hand, so should consistency amongst all social media outlets. Just as a corporate website is a virtual mirror of a company’s corporate brochure, there should be similar synergy amongst its various social media platforms. Although most platforms do have their own creative limitations, there should still be a level of constancy and uniform design.</p><h2>Call to Action</h2><p>In advertising, the effective ads are the ones with a clear call to action. Celebrating their 70th year anniversary, this local downtown Toronto organization continues to provide support to the underprivileged through their many services such as food bank, clothing, child care, counseling and shelter.</p><p> <iframe
src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/33347369" width="720" height="405" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe></p><p>Starting mid-November, our employees brought in a variety of non-perishable food items, which we packed into specially marked Montana Steele goodie bags. We gathered all the donations and a Montana Steele volunteer team loaded the bags into a van and transported them to Scott Mission. But that’s not all. At the Mission, our team volunteered in the food hall and soup kitchen, helping to prep and serve. It was a truly heartwarming experience to share in the spirit of the holiday season.</p><p><img

In 2010, over 119,000 Canadians raised  more than $22.3 million.</p><p>This year, Montana Steele got on board with a spirited team that included Dylan Welsh, Andrew Montgomery, Peter Marello, Nik Priftis and Cathryn Hanes. For a month, Team Mo-Montana raised a few eyebrows as they went about their noble task, raising awareness and funds to help the cause. At the end of the month, our Mo-Team had raised an unprecedented $1,315, which we hope, will go a long way in changing the face of men’s health.</p><p><img
